The staff and children at Teddies Nursery have been finding inspiring ways to support the NHS. The nursery remains open for key worker children and has donated plastic aprons and protective gloves to local hospitals. The children have been busy writing cards of support and drawing colourful pictures to cheer up NHS workers and patients. Their work has been displayed at the Royal Gwent Hospital, in Newport. The children have also been creating picture diaries of their individual learning journey to show their family what they have been doing at nursery.
Jessica Tate, manager at Teddies Nursery, said: “The children have been learning all about the heroic work of our doctors and nurses and wanted to send messages of support. We are delighted to be able to donate protective equipment and to let the NHS know how grateful we are. We hope our children’s cards will make people smile and it is wonderful to be able to put our gloves and aprons to good use.”
